A 'tense' situation!!!

I find myself tensed...Prats and rayshma had tagged me LOOOOOOOOOng back on the past present and the future...and as usual, i errr...ummm...have been a ....bit busy.

its been so long since they've tagged me, that the past has been shifted further back, the present has shifted into the past and the future has become the present....confused?!!! *mission accomplished :)

~ The tag copy ~Two questions in each category answer them and then tag your friends from the blog-o-sphere. (Simple enough right) Leave a comment on their blog letting them know they have been tagged and you are all set.

Yesterday - Your oldest memory - What were you doing 10 years ago?

Today -Your first thought today morning - If you built a time capsule today what would it contain?

Tomorrow - This year ….What do you see yourself doing 14 years from now?

~ End Tag details ~

just wondering why 10 yrs back and 14 yrs ahead?!!! not that it makes any difference but....

Yesterday

Your oldest memory: My oldest memory would be a faint one of me singing some song about a cockroach in nursery school!!!

and whaddya know, i found it on youtube...!!!!! and we sang it in English...

And another one where the teacher tied her hanky over my mouth, because I was such a chatter box…(the fact that both my boys have completely taken after me in this respect, was revealed at the recent parent-teachers meeting)

What were you doing 10 years ago?: 10 years ago, I was in Kolkata, with a very busy husband and a dedicated 14 mth old who had trained me well…Life was less complicated then, a new job, a new city, a new role as parents…

Today

Your first thought today morning: Thinking about my 11 yr-old who has gone for his first overnight 5 day camp.

If you built a time capsule today what would it contain?: Is there some way I can pick up all the weeds in the society and zap them back…so that there really will be a future worth waiting for?

Tomorrow

This year ….: It’s been a year in slow motion…sort of makes up for last year which was full of change and just zipped by.

What do you see yourself doing 14 years from now?: blogging…and ...er more blogging
Wait a minute! 14 yrs from now, did you say….? does some quick calculations…adjusts her retina to peer into the future……..THUD!!!! *faints on not recognizing the images of two strapping 25 yr-old and 20 yr-old hunks towering above her.

and now to exercise the perks of tagging...

gazal, joy, preethi (incessant musings) and pink dogwood...your memories please

liked the contrast in your thoughts about 10 years before and the 14 years after..how is that the parents always measure time in terms of the age of their kids.. :)

Prats got it bang on //Thinking about my 11 yr-old wh..// looks you will never stop worrying on kids ( & then which mother stops worrying )
& finally when you really stop worrying about kids after their marriage ,it will be all peaceful..Can an Indian mother do that !!

LOL!nice tag. I am totally disoriented to time nowadays and I can't think beyond the next 10 minutes and you thought for 14 years from now. I don't blame you for fainting at all:) And the cockroach song?I would have loved to know some cockroach songs in nursery school. See my teachers were never that much fun:)

Ahh the boys have inherited the chatting. So you cannot yell at them!!! My daughter gets it from my hubby who is a usual chatter box.

I always found the whole concept of taping up of the mouth a little to harsh - some kids talk a lot...what you going to do? But then when I think about all the patience that a teacher requires, I get a little sympathetic. But it's quite harsh.

rambler::

wait till you become a parent!!!!

veens
:D

thanks...

prats::
trust me..that was the whole driving force behind the posting :D

gazal..

do it when you have time...i'm sure there is some memory hidden in that mind of yours...i refuse to believe you were a model kid :P

abha...
good you were not around the day he left..i bugged everyone who was online that day..:D

pink dogwood...
that would be an interesting read for sure..waiting for it...:)

joy...
you are hereby awarded the title of fav commenter,..flattery will get you anywhere...:P

its spanish but i clearly remember singing it in english..there was also a dog named rover in the english version...

preethi...
ohh yes..and we may be going through the "empty nest' syndrome...
i thought you had done it (remembered reading) but was unsure whether it was on ure blog and ofcourse was too lazy to check it out...

ceedy::
once a parent, always a parent, i guess...:P

its probably because after you have kids, every decision is made taking them into account...and they are very much part of our present and future...

rayshma...
this is the thanks i get for faithfully remembering and doing it?!! tsk..tsk...and a hmmmpff for good measure!!

and you are jetlagged ...i rest my case :P

CU..

when you decide to be a parent you sign up for a whole soap opera complete with tears, action, drama and intense emotion...:P

fuzzy...
lol...
that was one song which stuck in my kead..i still remembered the tune and was pleasantly surprsied to see it on google..now go teach it to Ina...:D

sumana...
they chat in class and yell at home...:P
but looking at my elder boy you would never believe that he chats in class...

deepali..

actually it wasn't all that serious...i still remember that it was done in a mock exasperated manner..and it was taken in fun by me and everyone else..and i was way too small too...

besides even now, the teachers tell me in an affectionate manner...its not literally taping up the mouth...:)
